What began as a side-project of the backing singer and multi-instrumentalist of Alice Room, My First Tooth and Katie Malco, has now evolved into something much more tangible.
Velvet Engine, the brainchild of Latino Northamptonian San-D Godoy, emerged enthusiastically into our lives and our hearts at the start of 2008, touring the lower UK on and off throughout the year as a solo act and occasionally supported by a full band.
D-Wiser and Ricky.E met around late 2006 after a feature Ricky.E was working on, produced by D-Wiser along with Dizmackintosh of CBS. From then on there was the click and music has been made ever since. Many many hours in the home of Ricky.E writing and producing tracks achieved, with cool meditation....the name ''Anecdote Authors'', given by D-Wiser who then recruited Ricky.E!
Wiser and East are producing various mixtapes to take you through a journey telling stories on some Hip-Hop/Dub-Step/Reggae sounding beats. They say shout out to everyone making original music and bringing a good vibe to the table, more from us to come in the near future..Bless.
Dirty Sweet - One of Northamptons most inspirational bands
DirtySweet have been around Northampton for a few years now, all coming from there home town of Northampton. In the last year the band ha ve looked to make their mark on the music seen of Northampton and have. Appealing to all ages and performing along side with some of the towns well known local acts.
The band performed was at ourvery own "Launch Party" last year in September 2008along side Wilson @ The Racehorse Northampton. Check out the site gallery to catch a glimpse of what turned out to be an entertaining ngiht of psychedelic.
